A Contrite Heart
O’ what peace was found the day I realized,
God does not bless me because of good works done;
He does not withhold His blessing because of evils done.
God does not bless me because of good works done;
He does not withhold His blessing because of evils done.
God blesses me solely because of the FINISHED work of His son.
Instead of seeing my terrible sin,
He sees JESUS purity within.
My life and Family God wants to bless;
But only because of His son’s righteousness.
Please forgive me Lord for my many sins
And the hurt they have caused so many.
My son you must remember, my love and forgiveness
Is full and complete and it doesn’t cost a penny.
O’ God deliver me from this wayward heart;
Please use me again and let me never depart.
My son, in Jesus alone, today you will find mercy,
And today you will have a Brand New Start!
